All the Rage

Smallville
Here's the Superman we know and love. Superman has always stood out as being one of the least morally ambiguous heroes on the block. He's basically all-powerful, but he's got a rock-solid moral code: no killing. Other heroes (and supervillains) may dismiss him as a "boy scout," but as this episode showed, that principled stand helps keep all the other men and women in tights from going mad with power. If Superman can restrain himself, what excuse does some guy with a bow and arrow have?

We laughed a little bit at the explanation that Ollie's wonder drug worked on the amygdala - did anyone else flash to the somewhat dim sometimes-villain with super-strength named Amygdala in the Batman comics? No? Just us? Okay, never mind.

We don't quite know what to think about Lana's pregnancy. Does pregnancy usually bring on migraines, or is that some sort of sign that Lana has a little supervillain-to-be in her belly? And how do you think Lex will react to the news that he's a father?

Finally, we were loving the romantic tension between Martha and Lionel. Yeah, yeah, we know, he's basically evil, but we still think they make a great, compelling couple, don't you think?

Not a bad episode. I'm not digging the Mionel (Lionel's tried to kill too many people for me to think he's a redeemable character), but I loved the Chlark. That dreamy, wistful look Clark cast at Chloe at the dinner table... sigh.

And although I'm not a huge "Lois" fan, I have to admit she and Ollie make a very cute couple. I hope somehow they can stay together, because they're so much more believable as a couple than Clark and "Lois" are.

An ok episode. Clark was great, so was Lex. Wasn't feeling the GA love this ep though. And meh on the pregnancy bit. Loved the Clark/Lois anvils though. But the most WTF was the Kents thansgiving. Lionel Luthor? Oy Vey. Jonathon must be turning in his grave...

I'm enjoying Ollie/GA calling Clark out on his lack of pro-activeness and glad Clark is finally stepping up. I loved the Thanksgiving Dinner and loved how after Clark got Ollie/Lois back together and gave them an approving smile to their smooch and looked to Chloe like he wanted to give her a kiss too! Always Chloe and because I didn't mind Chloe and Lana's scenes together (I'm not a Lana fan)I know I'm ready to see more of the core-four and looking forward to the stories about Clark/Chloe/Lex/Lana progressing the later part of the season

What is the point of having a poll if you aren't even going to try to stop the voting bots totally spamming it? There's no point anyone else even voting because the Clana fans have it all rigged up.

People will boycott your polls if you don't make them fairer.

Rage was a good episode. I wasn't sure about Ollie...but now I love him...and even more..I love him with Lois. He got points with me when he gave her that warm hug, kissed her head and told her that he was sorry to hurt her..*sigh*..they have good chemistry...

Clark was great as usual..cant wait to see him battle other zoner escapees...actually, cant wait for the rest of the season!

I quite liked this ep. Love how heroic Clark was, season 6 has been really wonderful with Clark's development.

Thank you writers for showing Chlark scoobying! All is right in Smallville when those two are investigating. Lois grates.. what else is new?

I loved that Clark was thankful for his parents and how wistful he looked to Chloe at the table *sniff*. The boy has feelings for her, no doubt.

Actually, Ollie is pretty clearly Lois' real deal. So yeah I agree with Jenny - When Oliver Leaves to go play Green Arrow in Star City, I too want to see Erica Durance go to play the Black Canaray to his "Jolly Green Bandit." Hartley and Durance have chemistry that she's never had with anyone else on this show. Go for it, CW!

(Loved Chlark and Lexana this week. I can't wait to see more of them.)

Clark was totally upset over Chloe! That was the whole point of showing it on the show, he was all smiles until he saw her texting to Jimmy.

And of course they brought back the Lana/Clark/Chloe triangle which was great to see. It seems like we're finally going back to Smallville after all this Lollieville. I can't wait! (Even if Lollie was cute this week.)

The Chlark was amazing; Clark is alone because he didn't take a chance to speak up and get her. Poor Clark.

It's great to see that he is supporting Lollie though. He's a good fake-brother to Lois, even if she gives him heck. I'm so glad they aren't going romance with these two.

Eww, Mionel.

Loved the Chlark this week. And it's great to see that siblinglike bonding for Clark with his psyedosister. Younger brother hooking his big sis up, awwwwwhhhh. I hope hope hope Lollie get spun off; c'mon, she'd totally be a kick ass Black Canary!!

Lex was kind of creepy this week. Lana's fainting was bad.

**QUOTE Winchestergirl **
Besides, Chloe knowing his secret was a good twist in the story but cannot be justified as a reason for romance.
****
I agree with this… this twist showed what a great friend is Chloe and she become a real support for Clark.

**QUOTE**
Clark has never shown feelings for Chloe. Even she has moved on now and is really happy with Jimmy.
****
I DISAGREE!... every neutral SMALLVILLE fan canNOT say that…he HAS shown feelings for her in the past seasons (first season...she was his first kiss and he told Lana about it and ask Chloe for prom…remember?) those feelings never became anything in the next seasons though, because Clark was really into Lana …then in the beginning of this 6th season he clearly wanted something more, and yes she´s with jimmy now…hopefully he can make her happier…please…don´t get blind just to support our main ships.

**QUOTE**
Or Chloe can stay with Clark and Lois and guide them as she has more experience as an intern at the Daily Planet. They can all become successful together.
Letting anything bad happen to Chloe is not the only way to make Clark Superman. And nothing can happen to Chloe now, she is in the comics, so it is clear that she won't die as some people predicted.
Besides, what I don’t understand is, how can Clark have romance with Jimmy Olsen’s girlfriend? Don't get me wrong, I am not saying anything against Chloe, but it is just wrong.
I think Chloe should remain a strong part of Clark as well as Lois's lives, but she should be seen independently without being paired with Clark or compared with Lois.
****

I agree with the 90% of this… what i disagree is what´s wrong about Clark having romance with Jimmy Olsen´s girlfriend? …i know it could be awkward but if you really think this and we are talking about “wrong” stuff then i can ask … how can Lois have romance with Chloe´s love of many years?(she is her favourite cousin right?) Let´s just say…this is SMALLVILLE and EVERYTHING CAN HAPPEN…

Pd: i´m a chlarker and i´m proud of it…

Enough of relationships-------------------

I love how our Clark Kent is stepping up to become the man of steel…the real SUPERMAN!!!!!.... let´s focus in that …cause we´re all SMALLVILLE´s fans right?…that´s what we are all here!!!….

I agree "cl"...I know Clois will happen but we can be open to the possibility of Chlark before Clois I think for one major reason above others.

Well, first, yes, I think Clark should have a little more experience in relationships before Lois...because once he starts to fall for Lois there cannot be anyone else.

UNQUOTE:

Clark had enough experience of relationships with Lana, Alicia and even Kyla. So experience thing doesn’t count. He had much angst already, more is not needed.

QUOTE:

Also, he saves the world on a regular basis...he deserves a simple, happy relationship with someone before we start the angst once more of him having feelings for someone who barely knows he exists...he already had so much angst with Lana that he needs a break from angsty relationships.

UNQUOTE:

Please read post-crisis comics. Lois falls in love with Clark first and later learns that he is Superman. So there is no angst.

If you have read the current comics, Lois and Clark are happily married.

Infact, all other relationships that Clark had ended in angst. Lois is the only woman who makes him happy and complete.

And no, she doesn’t “barely” know him, she knows him best. Please read the comics. The Lois falling for Superman and not knowing Clark argument doesn’t hold anymore.

Lois is Clark’s wife, his confidante, his work partner, his best friend and the woman he madly loves, all at the same time.

Yes, he needs a break from angst, and he needs to be happy with Lois Lane, the true love of his life, instead of yet another relationship that won’t be successful.

QUOTE:

Third, and i think the major reason, is that he has one more major lesson to learn and experience before he can go become Superman. He has already learned that you can't keep secrets in the relationship from Lana. Now he has to learn that he will have to keep his personal life and his life as a superhero separate because of the risks to those he loves...Hence the double identity thing he will have to pull off: Clark Kent..super!geek...and Clark Kent...undercover Superman.

Chloe already knows his secret, and Chloe is very much involved in his personal life and superhero life..sometimes at her own risk. If they got together and something happened to her at the end of the series because some enemy of his wanted revenge and found out that she was the closest to him..then there is another lesson learned..to keep his lives separate. The Green Arrow kind of hints at the double life thing, but Clark hasnt completely grasped the concept.

UNQUOTE:

Bringing Clark and Chloe together and ending it in angst would teach Clark a lesson? But you just said he needed a break from angst.

Besides, Chloe knowing his secret was a good twist in the story but cannot be justified as a reason for romance. Clark has never shown feelings for Chloe. Even she has moved on now and is really happy with Jimmy.

Why the need to bring her back to her past and end it in angst by letting anything bad happen to her. Why making her fall for a man who would never truly love her and move to someone else?

Why not just keep her happy with the new life she has and let Clark move to his real love.

QUOTE:

Then it will be logical that when she disappears, he has learned his major lessons in relationships, goes off for training, and then comes back...then he is ready for his life as Superman and Lois.

I see no reason why Clark and Lois shouldn't be brought together this season!

I don't know about you guys, but I think there is too much love going around as it is within this small group of friends....

let's consider all the possibilities that we want or have heard of among the posts...

Clark/Lana
Clark/Lois
Clark/Chloe
Jimmy/Chloe
Jimmy/Lucy (he did have a crush on the sis in the comics right?)
Green Arrow(Ollie)/Lois
Green Arrow (Ollie)/Chloe
Lex/Lana
Lex/Chloe
Bruce Wayne/Chloe
Lois/Aqua Man

wow..this is beginning to look like a soap opera with not enough actors and too many relationships...especially as two people are RELATED to each other, two others were once close friends, one guy is going to crush on the sister of the cousin of the girl he used to date.....this is complicated!!!

you know, I will admit that I am a Chlarker (that does not mean that I do not like Lois...) I have been from season 1. But as the Clois fans have stated about their couple, I dont want mine rushed either..and we are almost already halfway through the season. As much as I would like to see something there, I dont think it will happen...I've been toyed with for 5 years, and I'm not waiting anymore. Plus, I am finding it hard to accept that Clark will go through all the girls, especially as two of them are cousins.

As much as I like Clo-Lo love, it would have been much easier for me if Lois was brought in as not related to anyone...just Lois Lane coming to Smallville. So that if some of us were to be lucky enough to have Chlark happen, and we know Clois will happen too..at least Clark Kent didnt run through 2 cousins...

It would have also been nice if the writers did not make the future wife of Superman go through 2 of his Justice League pals too! Again...to many relationships, not enough people...

so yeah...I love me some Chlark...but there are too many couples going around as is..somethings gotta give

I agree "cl"...I know Clois will happen but we can be open to the possibility of Chlark before Clois I think for one major reason above others.

could be a possibility

Hi cl,

Well, sometimes fans of particular couples see things their way. Many Chlark fans said that Clark was sad to see Chloe, clearly he wasn't.

Some Clois fans thought that he looked at Lois. I personally, despite of being a Clois fan, when saw that scene again and again, thought that he didnt looked specially at Lois, he looked at everyone. And was happy for everyone. Even for Lois with whom we know he will fall in love with future.

Secondly, we don't know what is in store for Chlark or Clois. I personally don't see any Clois coming either. The kiss is just a disguise kiss. It is not a real romance. Besides, Al Miles said Clark will be single this season.

I agree that Clois should be taken slowly so it becomes very beautiful. Right now, they are merely friends.

And there is nothing forced. If you are referring to the kiss, it would've been forced if they showed Clark and Lois kissing out of the blue, even Clois fans would hate it. But since it is a disguise kiss, Lois thinks it is Ollie, but when she kisses Clark, she feels different, so far what we got from spoilers.

I personally would hate 'forced' Clois, and thank God, there are no hints of a forced Clois.

In comics, he has an affair with Lori before falling for Lois, so in SV, it can be Chloe, since Chloe fans have waited so long, they'll love it.

But I don't just think SV is merely about 'affairs'. It is a story of Superman. It should deal with all things Superman. Which is why I think that Clark should very gradually only develop his feelings for Lois and Lois should also, without starting any romance or showing them as a couple.

Besides, they both have to get to Daily Planet and deal with many other things too.

This is what I think would be best right now. I don't know what is in store for future, but I guess a slow and subtle creation of Clark/Lois is what I wish for.

Still, if the writers take the Chlark route, Clark/Lois fans won't be dissapointed. We'd be a little frustated though, that the time that could be used to build Clois is taken away, and it'll harm the canon relationship, no doubt by taking away the time to built it up.

But we know Clark/Lois is destiny and Al Miles love Clois too, so they will bring it, one day!!

QUOTE EARL GRAY:

Okay, let's be clear here: Clark didn't look at Lois to imply he was most grateful for her. He looked at Ollie and Lois and was happy for them, having helped Ollie and put the two of them back together. Lois was, in fact, a nasty jerk to Clark twice and it's truly showing Clark's Supermanly spirit that he helped her anyway.

UNQUOTE:

Ouch. I though this week Chloe fans have shown a little dignity and not come up with the Lois bashing spree, but I was mistaken.

Watch the scene again, Clark looked at everyone when he talked. This scene was meant for thanking his parents only. Offcourse Clark was happy for everyone.

Clark told Lois to stay away from Ollie. Lois’s reply was simple:

“He has a support system problem not leprosy”,

which is why Lois thought it was a wrong suggestion.

Lois is known for her independence and decision making on her own. That is Lois Lane, like her or not, or call her nasty, your choice!

QUOTE:

If Clark looked at anyone with longing in his eye it was Chloe when he saw her face and realized who she'd gotten the message from. THat was very pointed and unmistakable.

UNQUOTE:

Clark was genuinely happy to see Chloe and so was Chloe on getting Jimmy’s message. But if you want to twist it into a Chlark moment, fine. But like someone pointed out, it was merely a Clark Kent’s moment with his family, nothing more. No jealousy, no disappointment. He was happy.

QUOTE:

THe spoilers for any kiss indicate, also very clearly, it's for laughs and done because Lois thinks it might be Ollie in the GA outfit. THere is no relationship between Clark and Lois and I pray the producers realize this Lois as the worst ever and that she just can't cut it when we have Chloe with which to compare her.

UNQUOTE:

Laugh as much as you want, but it merely foreshadows future when Lois doesn’t know that Clark is Superman.

If there is anything to like about Chloe, then why compare her with the most “worst” character on the show?

Sorry, Lois is not compared to Chloe, Chloe is endlessly compared to Lois. Because it is the only way to give Chloe some importance.

Lois Lane is in her own league, above all women in Clark’s life, no Chloe’s and Lana’s and Lori’s can take her place. Read a Superman comic, that might help you.

QUOTE:

No Clark and Lois ever. It's not right and she doesn't deserve it. She has done nothing to earn the right to even call herself a reporter, much less the right to any kind of romance with Clark ever, considering her nasty mistreatment of him. This Lois is not the real deal at all. Give us a break and send her away soon.

UNQUOTE:

It’s not right and she doesn’t deserve it? This itself is so hilarious! Chloe fans have ran out of arguments now? Just because you are a Chlarker, so Lois doesn’t deserve it. Come up with something better next time.

FYI, there is no question of deserve or not! Clark and Lois end up together in the comics, that’s that. She is not a reporter? Oh, neither is Clark, they are perfect for each other than.
Come up with some solid arguments, just because your heart wants Chlark doesn’t mean you would come up with some bashing tactics and wish to change the 70 year old beautiful story.

Fact is, Chloe, Lana all will be left behind. There is only one woman that stands with Clark Kent and that is Lois Lane. It is a fact from the comic books, embrace it, it’ll be good for you.

I just wrote this to clarify your arguments. I request now to please not turn this into a bashing thread. We seriously don’t want any Lois bashing here. I appreciate the Chloe fans who have not tried to turn this into a Lois bashing thread this week. Please keep peace here.

Thanks a lot.

i don't get how superman a.k.a. clark didn't have super sperm to impregnate lana! but lex was able to do it so quick? wow kinda makes you think maybe superman dont have super sperm after all....and also y the hell is clark all alone? and y the hell are ppl hatin on lana? clark ended the relationship brutally and broke her heart and now hes bein all caring? wtf? i mean don't get me wrong i LOVE CLARK/TOM WELLING but he was a jerk to her so he deserves her bitichiness...and wtf is rong with martha? her husband just died and shes kissing well almost kissing lionel( ewww) and the screenwriters should make clark the father of lanas baby cuz clark seems like a weakling next to lex and HES SUPPOSED TO BE SUPERMAN? WOW I don't like how the story is goin the screenwriters need to wake up and work on it and make it better and more interesting cuz i bet theyre losing alot of clana fans!!!!!!!wake up and make clark the father of the baby!!!!!!!!!!

I have never been a big fan of this Smalleville, but lately, with the addition of Arrow I have been tuning in!

I really think this episode was great… i love the thansksgiving dinner!...make my day!!! Instead the awkward of lionel being there…i love it because the scene was very well done and the music was amazing!

Finally the friendship between Lana&chloe … love it!

Mionel…uhmmm… sorry but noooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!

TW performance in this episode…and his smile….perfect!

i agree... i´ve never noticed that look until clois fans pointed it.

i also want to comment...i know clois fans would love if clois start to emerge this season...but i think that you guys should be openmind about the possibility of chlark before clois...i mean...clois is definitely going to happen if not in smallville...in the future but will happen anyway...because i can´t imagine how mad you´re going to be if we get some chlark this season... obviously there´s a huge possibility that we got nothing though… if clark starts to have feelings for lois this season well... instead of all the dissapointment in me...we know that in the comics lois is the one for clark so if someone starts to have feelings for the one person you´ll love... you can´t be able to have feelings for anybody else... clark deserves to experiment more in the loving area before lois... could be chloe or any other girl... we know that chloe is the best choice...i mean why then they built chlark for the past seasons!

However, If TPTB decided to start clois… i really want them to build it! please please… i really want to see better chemistry between those two in smallville… because now i see everything so forced… and i hate that… i simply don´t buy it

More Chlark please!

Chimmy is not here to stay, 4 more episodes to go for Mr. Ashmore and he's gone! yay!

DID ANYONE NOTICE THAT.. the GA picture that Daily Planet published was the same that was in Lois's room in Arrow and the one that accompanied her article in the Inquisitor about Arrow?

A foreshadowing of Lois's future in Daily Planet! Hmm?

By Jenny:

"Maybe she really IS Dinah,"

I don't know what's with the who's the real who obsession, but it is an interesting thing to note:

Clark will be donning the Green Arrow costume in Hyrdro! If Lois becomes Dinah, her GA would still be Clark! LOL!

Clark and Lois are destined to find each other in no matter what disguise they are, aren't they?

Lois the Dinah and Clark the Green Arrow! Wow!

Until they become Lois and Clark of Daily Planet, I wouldn’t mind them playing this disguised as other Superheroes game.

Interesting, Interesting indeed!

Other Superman/Clois anvils in Rage:

- Lois left alone while Ollie leaves for his crime-fighting spree – A foreshadowing of Lois’s future with Clark/Superman.

- Clark’s telling Lois you’ll find someone during the kitchen scene in the beginning.

- Lois’s comment “Classic disappearing act”.. totally a Superman/Lois foreshadowing.

- Clark’s “Lois is not Lana” and that she can handle superheroes. Off course Clark, she’ll handle Man of Steel.

- And Clark’s comment on her cooking, we all know Lois can’t cook! Reminded me of Lois and Clark: TNAS!

I think Al Gough’s statement about using Lollie as a parallel to show Lois’s future with Clark was very befitting. Everytime we see Lollie, it foreshadows something from Clois’s future.

Also I loved Clark’s concern and worry over Lois when he found out Ollie was using drugs. Although, the writers could’ve shown some more depth in this worry, the opportunity was there. But well, we’ll have to wait till January...

I don’t want to direct this towards any fans or shippers and neither am I labeling that ‘Chlark fans are wrong’ or something, everyone is entitled to their own opinions, this is just my humble opinion on the thanksgiving scene:

I don’t think Clark was sad or jealous of anyone in the thanksgiving scene. Please let him rise above this ‘jealousy and sadness’ thing at least once or twice. He was happy when he looked at Chloe, genuinely happy to see that his best friend has got someone after being lonely for such a long time. I don’t think the writers hinted any ship in this scene.

Clark’s character needs to be praised for what it was and should not be belittled by ‘jealousy’ and ‘sadness on seeing Chloe’ all the time.

Besides, Chloe also looked surprised and delighted to receive her boyfriend’s message and there was no awkwardness on her part. I liked seeing Chloe in this different light other than the usual ‘nerdy’ Chloe. She is shown as a ‘young woman’ instead of a ‘high school girl’ this season, she should be loved for that. It also showed that the writers made a statement that Chloe and Jimmy’s relationship is here to stay.

I saw Clark Kent as Superman in this scene. A man who is happy to see that the people closest to him are really very happy. He was even happy to see his mother and Lionel, the same man who is responsible for bringing so much agony to his family and took his father away from him. He simply mentioned his parents and thanked them for believing in him. It was Clark’s moment with his family, no jealousy or sadness was present there. The only moment he was a little sad was when he mentioned his father.

Let Superman rise a little above the ‘shippers’ please, and appreciate the scene as it was played. It was neither a Clois or Chlark moment. It was a Clark Kent moment.

Thank you.

Chloe looked hot in this episode. I'm really loving her hair. Such a talented, beautiful girl. Smallville would be crap without her.

Clark's screen time was once again cut back becuase of Arrow again and I'm tired of it. I want the real superhero of the show back in action with Chloe by his side!

Hate the baby plot. YAWN.

Ollie and Lois are cute!

If you cut out the Lana parts, this show was good. This is also true of the series as a whole. No Lana = Better show.

I agree...killing off Mr Kent...WRONG WRONG WRONG 100%

Hinting at a potential Mionel....DISGUSTING AND WRONG...100%

Loved Tom in this episode...but then again, I love him every day of my life.

I will miss Ollie though. He grew on me, and I love his relationship with Lois alot. He makes her happy and she smiles alot with him. I would have liked to see more of that.

I like Clark's friendship with Ollie, and it was great that Clark helped their relationship. But this is my concern....Ollie is officially Clark's friend, and Lois cares for him deeply....when they have this Clois start happening, if it does, how bad would that be for Clark to start liking his friend's girlfriend?? I'm sure he would feel guilty about it....and I don't see the need for anymore serious angst like he used to have with Lana and her boyfriends. And what about Ollie???...that would be uncomfortable....

but on a side note, what's so wrong about the text message smile?

Yes, Jimmy is lame, and she can do better, but I think her smile is a natural reaction to the message. I don't think it was over the top. If we put ourselves in her shoes, it is nice to have someone else care about you and think about you enough to send a message while with family.

Especially as she's been in love with someone for years that gives her mixed messages, and often used to come talk to her only to help solve crimes or talk about his lack of a sex life with Lana.

As lame as Jimmy is, I am glad that someone appreciates her for more than her computer skills. Honestly, I don't want Jimmy to last too long...she deserves someone really great and my heart has always been with Chlark. But if it doesn't happen I wont be surprised because TPTB have been finding ways to keep them apart for years....and Jimmy is just another stumbling block.

I don't think her relationship with Jimmy brings her character down. To me it shows that she is a normal, human person...glad that there is someone who cares about her alot.

For those who hated Super!Chloe as they say..isn't it a good thing to see her human, vulnerable side?

I like the hints of future chlark..but I want chlark now...chimmy has to end NOW.

It was a good episode, it really was.
Lana's pregnancy wasn't THAT surprising, but it was a good twist. Poor Lana, though. I wonder if she'll keep the baby?
Justin did an incredible job as Oliver/Green Arrow, on this one. His performances were really great. And his chemistry with Erica, even though it doesn't beat Tom & Erica, was really good.
I also loved how Clark and Lois's are growing together. I loved how Clark was all worried about her and how Lois opened up to him. We could use more banter, though, it's really fun to watch.
The Thanksgiving scene at the end was so nice. I loved Clark's reaction to Chloe's text message. He really looked happy for her. And he also helped Lois and Oliver get back together, which was really nice of him.
Lois and Oliver, by the way, is something enjoyable to watch, it's nice to see Lois in a more serious relationship, and it's also wonderful how she's able to handle a relationship with a superhero. Foreshadowing much? ;D
However, I think they need to break up soon. I don't know how the story will go from now on, but I think that, for "Hydro" *grins widely*, it will be weird if they're still together.
Another great episode, keep them coming.

It was wonderful to see more Clark and Chloe in this ep. And the last scene where Jimmy texts Chloe and looks sad was great! I want to see that lead to Chlark and soon! I'm glad to see that the Ptbs are taking Super!Chloe to heart and making her a more well-rounded character in order to match Clark's hero. That can only make their 'ship stronger and more enduring during the second half of the season.

On a separate subject, if ask how many people thought killing off Jonathan Kent was right? In my opinion, 100% would vote IT WAS WRONG.

Just like that, if you ask how many people cringed when Mionel played out, 100% would say they wanted to throw something at their TVs.

Please, please, stop Mionel. Martha and Jonathan are the pillars that supported Clark and made him Superman, you've killed one already. Don't corrupt the other.

STOP MIONEL! Let Martha and Lionel become friends but please, nothing more.

I think Rage was a Clark Kent episode. Tom Welling was amazing througout.

I loved, loved him in the thanksgiving speech scene. (and drooled over him too.. LOL)

His scenes with both Lana and Lois were great. The contrast between his relationship with the two leading women in his life was great.

I loved Erica Durance as usual, though, the story wasn't around her, she was still wonderful, and looked beautiful in her black dress.

But I think I can never stop saying how wonderful and amazing Tom looked and acted.

It is a perfect episode as far as emotional development of characters is concerned. The drug arc wasn't one of the greatest stories but it showed where Oliver lacks and why Clark is in a league of his own.

It is refreshing to see that from the past two-three episodes, "Chloe thinking as Clark's brain" thing has been dropped.

Naturally, it was sidelining the hero and also making people dislike Chloe, as most fans called her 'Super Chloe'. Even though she didn't need to accompany Clark to the lab, but it was okay.

I liked both Chloe-Lana scenes too. At the DP and at Lois's apartment at the end. It showed how Chloe's concern as well as Lana's insecurity very well.

I honestly am not too excited about the Lexana baby thing, but I'll just wait and see how it goes. Some people are already taking about how the baby would never make it, I don't know about that, I just want to see where it weaves Clark into the story. The story is all about him and not anyone else.

Overall, Rage was good on all its emotional content.

Loved, loved, and simply loved the last scene, it totally belonged to TW. His remembering his dad was a really sad moment for the fans!

Also felt sorry for his lonliness, which reminds me, since dear Ollie (I'm gonna miss him) is left for two episodes only, please let Clark and Lois come together this season.. please!! It'll also help their respective characters to develop together by working together with each other..

We'll see how the Hydro kiss shapes the story, but offcourse, since it is a disguise kiss, it won't trigger any romance or anything.. but still, some more glimpses of the future will be nice..

*begging*

I loved Tom Welling in this one. Clark Kent was Superman in this episode!

Sorry for the long post. Had so much to say.

PS: Glad to see SV holding strong and steady on the ratings table!

PS: SORRY MISSED SOME THINGS:

- Clark's comment "Lois isn't Lana" very true and befitting. Both are different women and it was a very good anvil about past and future. Lois's strenght is what makes her stand with Man of Steel.

- Clark's beginning conversaton with Martha where he remembers Jonathan.. very beautiful.

- Clark/Lois anvils are always plenty, but I liked when Clark says you'll find someone..

- Lois's comment on 'dissapearing act'.. classic foreshadowing of when Clark dissapears during his Superman duties..

- Lex's possessiveness about Lana and not letting her do anything on her own showed that Lana has trapped herself in a golden cage. I think it was a very good distinguishing between Clark and Lex. With Clark she was free but never let herself be free. Always questioned Clark about everything.. Now her own independence is taken away.

- Last scene, Clark says, what I want to thank and the first person he looks at, is Lois, wow!

And if anyone noticed, the last shot shows them without Oliver or anyone in the picture, sweet!

We'll have to wait till Hydro for more Clark/Lois.. *sigh* Meanwhile I hope the episodes are as good and Clark centric as Rage!!

It was overall a pretty decent episode.

Simply loved Tom Welling in this episode. He was the center of everything. His scenes with his mom, Lois, Lana and Oliver all were tremendous.

I think this is one of the best episodes as far as Tom Welling's acting in concerned.. and boy did he look hot in the thanksgiving scene!

Oliver's admitting that Clark is a better hero and that he wanted to be like Clark was amazing. I think that some fans who complained in the past few weeks that Ollie was given more attention didn't realize that Clark was doing the right thing all along and now Ollie had to admit it. AWESOME!

But on a sad note, there are only two Justin Hartley episodes left.

I loved Lois in every scene. She looked very, very pretty in that blue dress in the beginning as well as the black dress in the thanksgiving scene. Lovely. And what's with Lois in the pearls this season? May be because she looks so amazing and lovely when she wears them.

Also, I liked the way she cared for Ollie and her interactions with Clark were awesome as usual. But I would've liked to see her confront Ollie about the drugs.

I love the way Clark/Lois relationship has matured this season. Clark's concern for Lois was shown very simply and it was very realistic.

And he commented on her cooking.. How domestic! LOL!

I've never been a great Clana fan but I loved the Clark/Lana scene. I don't know why but I just loved it. It was painful, for both. Also their interaction in Daily Planet was really awkward and Tom was amazing in both scenes.

Clark and Chloe's scenes were usual i.e., investigating stuff together.

I laughed when Clark told Lois I'll help you and she said, "I'll call Chloe"

When it comes to hacking and tracking stuff, everyone sure knows who to call!

Chloe's scene when she embraces Lana after she tells her she's pregnant was very good.

And the last scene when she gets message from Jimmy was also cute. He wasn't in the episode but he was kept in the picture. Sweet! Chimmy lives!

I think this episode was very slow and subtle and was beautiful. It dealt more with the relationships.

Thanksgiving scene was awesome. Tom Welling.. once again.. simply awesome. When he said "Mom and Dad" I felt so sad for him.. and at the same time, I missed Jonathan Kent once again, who was taken away from the fans for no reason!!

I never say this about any ship or relation on SV but.. Mionel sucks! Lionel and Martha are both amazing characters.. please don't ruin them.

An affair between Superman's mom and Lex Luthor's dad is not exactly what we need. Not specially, when Lionel, directly or indirectly, still, is the cause of Jonathan Kent's death!

This is a completely Tom Welling episode definitely. I loved him in Rage.

Clark looked so gorgeous in Rage, especially in the blue button down shirt. Chloe looked amazing as well. I loved the way Clark looked over at her at the dinner table. That whole scene was the best part of the episode, since the majority of it was extremely boring and slow.

More boring Arrowville this week. Yuck. Where have the main 4 characters gone? Once Arrow is gone it'll be nice having MY superhero of the show back on the screen.

Today, I feel like I'm sharing my opinions about Smallville everywhere I am allowed to do so. I appreciate the opportunity to say that I beleive that Smallville is still and even moreso a kick*** show! "Rage" was a 'super' episode. Sorry for the SFX junkies who wanted more physical action. The whole cast of main characters connected in a way that I'd not seen before, especially Clark with everyone. The friendship between Clark & Oliver is evident now, and Clark so needs another friend. Hopefully, Oliver will become a recurring role for Justin and he won't be completely gone when he leaves to go back to Star City. I, too, thought that Lois' and Lana's biting remarks to Clark after he was showing them how much he cared about them was over the top. It was, however, touching between Clark & Lana when he reassured her that she could still talk to him. Then she asked him if he'd ever wished to turn back time and have things change for the better. My heart went out to Clark. Martha & Lionel? Well, she put things in their proper perspective for them. He's shown her kindness and loyalty toward Clark & his secret...so far. He's still looking through that book of Kryptonian symbols he's written in his office. What's cooking? We'll all have to wait and see. I loved the Thanksgiving scene. Clark's family was there. Everyone present knows his secret except for Lois. It was a comforting gathering to watch. Clark looked happy for a change. I know I felt better. Lexana's Thanksgiving dinner was a sharp contrast with it's dim lighting and looong table separating them. It was so sad. All I can say is, more like this one, Please. and Thanks!

Quote by Jenny: LOVED the subtle triangulation of Chlarkimmy at the end. Clark's happy foreveryone and with everyone... and then Jimmy called Chloe and reminded him he's alone. Poor superhero!

-------------------------
Chloe looked beautiful but laughable in that shot. Ohhh, the phone is ringing, Ohhh who could it be? Who else! It ain't Veronica Mar's boy toy that's for sure. No, it's the little boy who plowed little miss Sullivan a few years ago. I bet Jimmy has always been thankful at Thanksgiving for that sweet chunk of Chloe tush that he got. Chloe is becoming so lame as a character now. And Jimmy Olson? He is an anchor on the butt of humanity, or is it just an anchor on Chloe's butt. Whatever he is, the J.O. boy is bringing Chloe Sullivan down big time. I think that I would actually be grateful if they killed Chloe off now. I would then know that I could effortlessly stop myself from watching this show. Yep, I would not even have to try.

I hate that Lana is pregnant. hate it hate it hate it. and yeah I got migraines when I was pregnant, and bad heartburn. but I never fainted, and don't know anyone who has before. and i hate that shes pregnant. hate it. have i mentioned that I hate it? cause I really hate it. I don't want Lana and Clark back together by any means, but I really HATE that shes pregnant.

When Lex finds out he is a father, I think it will be the reason he is going to pull back a bit on his path to darkness. I see a change a heart in next week's episode.

I know Lex and Lana's relationship is not supposed to be all rainbows and sunshine, but I'm hoping for a reprieve from the angst. I'm a spoiler junkie so I hope in the coming episode, we get to see some happy moments for the two. :)

I am kind of bothered by Martha/Lionel, actually. I just think that as Lex's father and somebody who is so morally ambiguous, it's not a good idea to be pairing him up with the future Superman's mother. I'm all for Martha moving on eventually, but not with Lionel.

I was a lot happier with Lana in the first half of this episode than I have been since season one. She was a lot more assertive and her own character in a way that wasn't stepping on the toes of anybody who didn't deserve it and I liked that; she did, eventually, inevitably fall into the whole "secrets and lies" whatever, but I didn't find it nearly so obnoxious as I usually do given that Lex's secrets are actually quite dangerous and also since she was finally called out on her hypocrisy in that respect last week (although, maybe that should make it more irritating, I don't know).

The baby. Whatever. I really don't know what to say about it; I'm not happy, but that's what's happened and it's not something that really can be changed in future episodes.

I love Justin Hartley. I was lukewarm when he first came into Smallville, both at the thought of having a Green Arrow and at the actor himself, but he's handled the role well and I just love his attitude towards it. I also think that he has good chemistry with Erica Durance and the characters do make sense together in a relationship, although that was a little undermined by Rage. I was, however, a bit perplexed that Clark was rooting for them by the end of the episode, it seemed a little contrary, at least considering that the Lois/Ollie relationship, specifically, is supposed to be a catalyst for development of his own feelings towards Lois. I suppose all of that is really meant to come in after the Hydro watershed (pun intended, sorry), but a little foreshadowing wouldn't go amiss.

At this point I'm going to add as well that I love the Green Arrow music. Just throwing that out there.

Hated Chloe's lovey dovey and overplayed acknowldgement of Jimmy's "I miss you" text. I'm sorry, it's just that the absurdity Chloe and Jimmy Olson is so hard to swallow. Other than that, it was a pretty damn good episode. Awesome scene between Clark & Lana at the mansion. And I loved all the Clois foreshadowing, especially because it did not feel like the anvils were being forced feed to me. So again, except for the Dumb Text Message moment, it was a fantastic episode.

I also just loved how when Clark was saying what he was most thankful for he looked at Lois, and she looked at him then looked down and then Clark looked at Ollie and Ollie looked at them like 'Hmmm....'.

Awesome. Just awesome.

Bring on Hydro!

I wonder how long it will take before Lana starts blaming Lex for making her pregnant, forcing her into this position, blah..blah...bleh. Naturally, she will emerge from all this as blameless as well... a newborn baby. Cause you know, she's Lana Lang and all hail her perfection. Jesus. I was beginning to like Evil!Lana but I see this as the beginning of her end. Damn.

Mlionel is...hot. :D I'd like to see more of them, please.

Still counting down the episodes until the end of Green Arrow-ville and EDLois. How many episodes is it now? I really am hoping she finds her flower-shop-Dinah destiny in Star City with GA when they leave. Clark seemed genuinesly happy to see them together for one.

And last Chloe/Clark was the best part of the episode. Especially when she gets the call from Jimmy and Clark realizes just how alone he is...and hopefully that he doesn't have to be.

I loved the main four of Clark, Lana, Lex, and Chloe this episode. They are always a treat (and the center of the series, really) and so it's great to see more of them at the holidays.

Loved the florist and 'meant to be' lines for Lollie. Maybe she really IS Dinah, Claire! (For those that don't know, Dinah used to run a florist shop when she was with Ollie.)

LOVED the subtle triangulation of Chlarkimmy at the end. Clark's happy foreveryone and with everyone... and then Jimmy called Chloe and reminded him he's alone. Poor superhero!

I hate the baby plot. It's going to drag the show straight down into soap opera-land.

Lana wrecks everything. I feel very sorry for KK, having to play such a drag of a character.

Loved Clark in this episode. Very heroic, very Super. Lana was pretty okay, though boy did she get herself in loads of trouble. Chloe was her usual brilliant stuff, but there was not enough of Lex in this ep (though what we have of him was great.)

Looking forward to more of the core four next week!

Well I liked this episode. I felt so bad for Lana throughout it. The Clana scene was heartwrenching in a way, and normally I don't like Clana, but that was just 'aww *sniffle*' worthy to me. Loved the ending, the contrast between the Kent thanksgiving and the Lexana thanksgiving was just... wow. Martha/Lionel: I'm so glad I'm not the only one here who was gagging at that! WTF?? HOw do you go from being with JK to moving on to someone like Lionel Luthor not even a year after JK died? I think Lionel is playing her and Clark lol.. Maybe he evil and he thinks he has gained their trust, and hes gonna pull a total fast one on them. Or maybe he will die by the hands of Lex before we get anymore gross-worthy Mionel scenes. Loved the Lollie, although I won't be sad to see them breakup lol. And its nice to see Clark so concerned for Lois, glad he realized that not all women are like Lana, especially Lois. And I'm glad that Clark seemed genuinely happy for his friends around him at the table even though he may have been feeling alone himself.

no afence be i want lanas and lexs baby dies. i new she shouldn't have had sex with lex.

Did anyone but me feel that there shold have been one of those "after school special" moments where the cast talks about the importance of using condoms!?!

LOL..after this episode I was surely expecting it!

Decent episode. I don't know what is in store between Lois and Clark, but I'm glad they're sharing scenes together. Light-hearted yet earnest. It's a good start assuming they ever get anywhere. lol

Justin Hartley's a great actor, and I'm glad he gets to show off his capabilities opposite Welling and Durance, and on occasion, Michael Rosembaum.

On the otherhand, The whole Lionel and Martha innuendo just leaves not only disconcerted, but a little disgusted as well. Can't help how I feel but that's where my opinion stands on them and the route the show implies.

Not digging the drug subplot, but at least the characters learned something from it.

And Thanksgiving Dinner was the weirdest ever, particularly since Lionel is there.

Lana and Lex... couldn't care really.

I really liked this episode. I'm not going to go into great lengths of detail but the last two episodes of Smallville were a little on the blah side with teh climax of the show happening so quickly - a little fighting with teh baddies would have been nice.

I liked seeing Oliver in a different light and following him through his problems. I'm glad he learned his lesson and was able to fess up to the fact that he was no superman. I also love that he isn't afraid to put Clark in his place! You go Oliver!

Was I the only one during the almost kiss between Lionel and Martha screaming no at the TV? That was a horrifying moment. What about John? Did his memory die so fast? Martha what are you thinking!?

I don't know what I think about Lana being pregnant and what is up with the sudden fainting and the migraines? I had just finished saying to the boyfriend that Lana has a tendancy of falling down and hitting her head in ever episode even thoguh she's suppose to know Martial Arts .. and what happens.. there goes Lana down and out. SHe is suppose to be strong but she acts so wimpy. Drives me nuts sometimes and I really like Lana. No wonder why Lex acts like she can't take care of herself. SHE CAN'T!! I really don't know what is going to happen with this pregnancy.

I LOOOVED the dinner scene at the end. Everyone looked so happy and content and I was laughing because after Clark gave his thanks everyone just kind of ignored his suggestion and started eating. Poor Clark. It was nice to see everyone together and smiling and getting lovey dovey messages - poor Clark again.

I also thought the contrast between their dinner and the Lex and Lana dinner was great. Especially when you remember that Lana used to be at the warm fuzzy dinners.

Good episode...glad that Lois is back can't wait for the kiss

Lollie still together WHAT!!!?????

BDA Clark as a kryptonian cupid

Beautiful Tahnksgiving scene everyone look fabulous

Glad that Raya wasn't "Alicianadish" (not mentined in the next episode after her death even when Clark was affected by it) and Glad that Jimmy was mentioned too we MISS JIMMY bring back AARON ASHMORE please!!!! But Where that hell is GABE???¡¡¡ You know Chloe's FATHER!!!!!! did he die or something cause geez

Bad Olie Bad Olie go back to Star city PLEASE!! 5 down 2 to go. Justin is cute and everything but I want Clois not Loillie.

If the Clois kiss is supposed to be hotter than the Lollie kiss...OMFG!!!!!!! My TV is going to explode.

Mionel EWWWWWWWW!!! Pa kent must come back as a gosht and Kick some Luthor's ass

Lana pregnant??? poor Lana she has THE OMEN inside her...but yet is a baby so I hope she doesn't lose the Luthor Jr Jr

Clois like always perfect!! waiting for the best in "Hydro"

meg's post II: random episode comments:

(1)I like Ollie and Lois together..sad to see him leave. It was nice to see them happy together.

(2)After this episode, I dont see how we can be upset with Chloe because Clark always runs to her for help. Apparently, EVERYBODY goes to her asking for help: Lana and Lois too. I have heard comments like this:

"So can't Clark use a computer himself to look something up instead of going to Chloe?"...I see no problem with that. But now we need to ask the same thing of Lana. Lex has a mansion, with internet access somewhere I am sure. Couldn't Lana do research herself? Also, after dissing Clark in the hospital room, Lois calls Chloe to look for Ollie. OK..what about calling the police?

No wonder the poor girl cant move out of the basement and get some stories to write...she is busy helping everyone else out with their issues...I dont see how we can hate her for that. It's not like she would tell her friends "no i can't. I have a career in journalism to build, so I have no time for you".

When has she ever said: Clark and Lana, I think you both are incompetent at working a computer, so let me do all your reseach for you" I'm glad that she helps them.

(3) Liked the fact that Chloe did not tell Clark about Lana's pregnancy. That scene in the Kent house reminded me of when Chloe didn't tell him about the Lexana relationship in season 5. Seriously though, Clark knows Chloe knows something..even though she keeps his secret well, she is HORRIBLE at lying to him, and he is horrible at lying to her too. The situation makes me draw a parallel to Clark not telling Chloe about Ollie. I agree with both situations:It is not Clark's place to tell anyone about Ollie, just as it is not Chloe's place to tell anyone about Lana-it's not their secrets to tell. And it doesnt mean that they trust each other any less. It just means that they both understand
when to keep quiet...and THAT is a trustworthy person. I could see some anger from Clark about that in the future though.

(4) All the anvils dropped in this episode flattened me into the pavement. wow.
"Lois isn't Lana"
"I'm sure you will find someone more suited for you"
"If you and Lois were meant to be together who am I to stand in your way".... and others that I cannot remember. It's cool to have anvils, but again script writer...a little over the top for me. When they put all these anvils in one episode..what is left for the rest??

(5) The Kent Thanksgiving scene. Why didnt anyone else say what they were thankful for? I guess that would have been too corny. That scene was wonderfully written and acted by the cast, and this is why:

fans could read all sorts of things into those last minutes...I'm hearing that Clark looked at Lois when he talked about being grateful so that is foreshadowing....I've heard Clark was jealous when Jimmy sent a text...and also maybe he was just sad at being surrounded by people who love him, yet still feeling alone. Who knows? but the fact is that it was so ambiguous, but yet not, that it can be interpreted in a number of ways.

Finally, where was Shelby? LOL...and why have General Lane and Gabe Sullivan disappeared into the depths of long-gone Smallville cast members? I would love to see the return of both men in the future.

PS WE MISS YOU AND LOVE YOU PA KENT.

me again, giving my usually long first-post analysis of the episode....i guess I wake up too early in the morning huh?

Anyways, where do I begin?

There were some things that I didnt like throughout the episode that made me want to give it a B rating.....

First....NOOOOO MAMA KENT!!!!! NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! WTF!!! In past posts, people have been divided about what constitutes a worst Smallville kiss: Clois, Chlark or Clana. Personally, I conclude that a potential Mionel kiss is THE MOST mentally and physically disturbing kiss or almost kiss on Smallville EVER! I was kind of upset to my stomach for that scene. What about Pa Kent?!!? I am glad that she swiftly put him in his place and pushed him back over the line. Please writers, do not taint the strong love of Ma and Pa Kent. Clark needs to that example to hold to his belief that there is real and true love out there. Leave Ma Kent unscathed!!!

Second...I didnt like how Clark got dissed left, right and center from Lana and Lois this episode. Who ever wrote this script went a little overboard with Lois' remarks to Clark about the difference bet. them being that she doesnt sit around when ppl need help..or something like that. Last time I checked, Clark runs around saving everyone's ass. Script writer, I know Clark and Lois are supposed to have the love/hate/annoying thing going on, but that was over the top. Also over the top was how she dismissed him in the hospital room after he came in there offering help and being concerned about her well being...out of control.

And then Lana...I know your pregnant, and you are allowed mood swings, but still..the boy came in there offering you his help, literally almost in tears and hurting because YOU hurt, and you tell him to get out??? Anything like, "no I dont want to talk about it, but thanks for asking" will suffice, thank you very much!

Third, again, whoever wrote the script lacked a bit in continuity of the story. Just last week Clark was accepting destiny etc, but then we had to endure in the first 15 mins, Clark being upset about his powers again. I know he missed his dad and such, and of course, that is understandable, but no more of the "things would be different if I didnt have my powers" moaning and groaning...

Fourth...the opening Lois/Ollie makeout session...not that I didnt like it per se, just didnt care for it. I guess it was supposed to be the "hot and steamy, throw me against the wall" scene..but the best part was when Ollie disappeared, and what happened after that...

On the other hand, there were lots of things that I did like, which made me give the episode and A:

(1) Ollie learning a lesson about how to be a hero from Clark. Damn straight!!! And yes Ollie, as much as I like you, it's good to recognize that you are out of Clark's league..but that's ok..i like you still.

(2) Clark working hard to mend the Lollie relationship because of his own experience....very sweet of him.

(3)Clark and Chloe bouncing ideas off each other. We hear alot of complaints about Chloe being Clark's brain, and being the hero/super etc...but I didnt see that here at all. She did her usual initial work to get them to the scientific lab, Clark used his x-ray vision to find the docs in the wall, and together they looked at the info and figured it out together by talking back and forth...almost like two minds in sync. I liked that.

(4) Lana and Chloe's friendship...honestly, I missed that. It is good to see another part of their friendship, and good to see that even though Clark was kind of what they had in common years ago, they remain friends without his direct influence.

(5) And of course, the Thanksgiving scene. I fell in love with Tom Welling and his character all over again in this episode. It was beautifully done. Everyone together at the table, while Lex and Lana are basically across an ocean in the mansion. Very good contrast.

ok, because this is getting long, I will leave the random comments of the episode for another post.
