Who's Bud the Dog? Bud plays Shelby (also known as Einstein and Krypto) on Smallville, Thursdays 8/7c.
Hmm... I don't recall... Bud's been around for a while, but has been MIA this season. However, he graced us with his presence once again at the end of "Labyrinth," much to the joy of Shelby fans everywhere!
What was Bud up to while on sabbatical? Not much. According to his IMDB and TV.com profiles, Smallville is his only professional gig to date. It's really a shame. We think Shelb's da bomb!

Got to love Shelby, shows that in SV continuity isn't dead. First the cave pictures in Lionel's hand, then the Warrior Angel comics and now Shelby.

Yay! Shelby's back!
I was wondering why didn't the dog appear in 12 episodes of this season of "Smallville."
Hopefully we'll get to see more of him!

I love Shelby aka Clarkie.. Shelby should appear in all episodes..

I was so glad to see Shelby return because I was so disturbed by his absence.
It really bothers me when a tv show has an animal character yet ignores them for so long. (12 episodes, thats like 3 years in a dogs life). It reinforces the idea that animals are disposable.
Please keep Shelby around for more episodes. He's a cutie but not as cute as my boy.
