OTH: A Teary, But Great, Season Finale
Sob! It was hard to get through last night's OTH season finale with dry eyes. Between the arrival of James and Lily, the reappearance of Keith in her dream, Dan's angst, and everyone saying goodbye and planning their post-high school futures, you can understand why had to keep the Kleenex box handy.
It was such a feel-good episode -- clearly written with the fans in mind. So many great couple moments: we got our adorable smoochy Naley scenes (and how funny was Crazy Grandma Deb? We wouldn't mind having a nutty relative like her around. At least she knows she's nuts!). There were scenes to satisfy Leytoners AND Brucas fans -- that last Brooke/Lucas scene was especially sweet. Who wouldn't love to have an ex show her he'd written such sweet stuff? Plus, Brooke and Chase were just too cute.
And we loved all the great friendships. Lucas and Hales are just too cute, and we're so glad the show has kept their friendship strong. Lucas and Brooke both had such thrilled reactions when they were asked to be godparents. And Brooke and Peyton seem to have come full circle. They really did make it through a lot -- especially this tumultuous year! Even Rachel made an appearance, and though she's not our favorite, we have to admit it was kind of nice to see her again. She's earned her spot with the rest of the gang, and she definitely livens up their parties! Plus, we had sweet Scott brotherly bonding scenes, both at the party and on the court.
Speaking of the court... what about that last scene? First the montage of everyone playing, which was goofy and endearing, and then finally Lucas and Nathan facing off. The Scott brothers are the heart and soul of this show, and we loved seeing the finale end the way the show began -- focused on the brothers and basketball. The best was Lucas's quote to Nathan about how he could keep playing like this forever. Oh, no, here come the tears again...
But every time we almost lost it, the show came through with trademark humor.
We loved seeing the girls break out the moves to The Spice Girls. And what about Mouth's behavior!? Mouth was Mr. Smooth last night, jumping off the roof, punching out that tool who insulted Shelly, and even giving Brooke the passionate kiss he'd dreamt of forever. It was nice to see him come out on top.
And we can't forget Dan! Did you agree with Lucas and Nathan's decision to just never go see him? We were shaking when Karen came to visit Dan. Could you believe it when she actually spit on the divider between them!? Such pure, unfiltered hate. It was enough to almost make us feel sorry for the guy... almost. And then we saw the Keith shooting scene and we hated him all over again.
No matter what we think, it looks like Dan can't stand himself. We really thought he was going to kill himself during that final scene! But at the last second, his homemade noose broke, and he survived. We wonder how the next four years will change him...
We loved Lucas making everyone promise to reunite four years later at that very spot (we're hoping that scene makes it into the Season 5 premiere). How will they have changed? Who do you think will change the most? Who'll remain friends? By then, Naley's and Karen's little ones will be four and whoever goes to college will have graduated. The wait's going to be excruciating (remind us why we have to wait until WINTER for the next new ep!?), but we're totally there for next season.

One Tree Hill was a hit from the beginning I live for that show inthe four years it has been on I may have missed 4 episodes but I hear every bit of what happens from all my friends and we are all seniors I am SO GLAD they are going on with OTH I would stop watching tv if OTH was gone ITS ALL I WATCH

Although there are no plans to re-air the season finale, you can purchase it on I-tunes. Also, for some who asked, next season is a mid-season replacement (most likely in January) but the CW still did order a full 22 episode season, it will just go into the summer I'm guessing, and will no longer have long haitus! And it takes place 4 years in the future, I think everyone's said that, but I'll reiterate. The season finale was definitely a top 3 episode! I think it was my actual top episode. The definition of what good TV drama writing is

Loved the Season Finale. It would have also worked great as a Series Finale. I would like to know how would they top this. The ending,especially of the gang playing basketball and Lucas and Nathan facing off, was just amazing. It came full circle.

loved the way all the girls got up and danced to the song Wannabe by the spice girls i will never get how they all new the same dance moves. by the way does any one know what the dance moves are?

I would love to see the show repeated on another night at a later time so that whoever missed it on wednesdays at 9pm will have the opportunity to see it. This is an amazing show and would love it if the series continues with everyone in college and rainsing babies and all that.

I absolutely LOVED LOVED LOVED the season finale! I can't wait untill it's back in January though. And that's when I turn 18.... what a great present! My fave TV show back for another crazy season!

For those of you asking about when OTH is coming back -- it's midseason, so probably January. Such a long wait! :( No official dates have been announced yet, but we'll keep you posted as soon as we hear anything.

I started crying as soon as I heard the music... I loved it, it was so amazing a greatly put together the music was brilliant I cried the whole time. Perfect episode one of the best written material I have ever seen...a PERFECT way to end it...and the best part is, is that its coming back!
My only problem is that it deserves to come back for a whole season, think about guys this show is much more than drama TV show

I was in love with the finalie. It was just what I wanted to see. Filled with the right amount of humour and tears. I could not pick just one part to love because i love the entire espisode. But the dance scene and the b-ball scene it was I loved most. Great JOB!

I love love love OTH and i would have to say that i love love loved the finale....it was utterly amazing. My favorite things were all the things that referred back to the begining of OTH...peyton and lucas with the cars...the basketball scene.

OMG... I loved this season finale soooo much better than all the other ones. I was happy to see it didn't end with a cliffhanger, because I really hate those.

OMG!! i was so sad when i watch the finale. i seriously am in love with One Tree Hill and was so sad that it was the finale. It was a great finale. I actual,ly wasn't devistating. I wonder what next season will bring. I'll love it no matter what.

One Tree Hill is awesome...I really enjoy watching the show...Please please keep the seasons running, dont take it off the air like you did the OC...I don't watch tv and when I do it is the news...I never miss a show I have it set to record!!! This is really an amazing show that hits home with every age group!!!

as soon as i saw haley put into the ambulance i started crying. and then again at the keith and karen scene! i knew they were going to name her lily when he mentioned the lilies. it was good to see him again. did naley name their son james for jimmy edwards? deb was sooo funny. and i thought it was really sweet that nathan was calling her too during the party. muchas loveth.

I loved the finale, but did anyone else think it was weird that the girls were dancing to Wannabe? I mean, given their ages and the year the song came out, they would have been 8! Would that particular song really have had such an impact? Just a thought.

i was totally blown away by the episode, i started crying the moment live started playing and haley and the gang were walking to the ambulance!!! all and all it was totally amazing, i believe anything and everything you wished for each oth member to get, receieve or live, happened!!!best ever, and i am soo ready for the new season!!!

nice ending to oth very good loved it all.i cant wait for next season,thnak alot it was just as i imagine it would end for season 4 the only thing i regret was not watching it from the beginning.aww i wanna cry but thanks alot ,though good luck to lucas,peyton,brooke,haylie,bevin,mouth,nate and the others cast.see u all very soon.listen i was wondering if u all can have a marathon of oth from season 1 to4 it would be so nice and i know everyone who is a big fan would enjoy ,thanks for this ending it touch my heart alot.

EEK i cried it was totally a feel-good episode. I LOVED Brucas being asked to be godparents -adorable.
I loved deb lol shes funny and i loved the spice girls dance sequence.
I LOVED like LOVED the BRUCAS scene in the bedroom it was adorable.
''BROOK DAVIS, YOUR GOING TO CHANGE THE WORLD SOMEDAY AND YOU DONT EVEN KNOW IT.'' EK it gave me chills and made me teary eyed I REALLY HOPE that they are together next year. PLEASE MARK SCHWAHN PLEASEEEEEEEEEE we love our brucas their adorable it was just awesome minus the pucas scenes and the brase scene it was perfect.

I thought the season finale was really good! Did anyone else feel that Peyton & Haley didn't really didn't really say goodbye to each other or talk at all like all the rest of them did? I was a little disapointed by that, but I LOVED the episode overall!

i loved this episode. It was really well written and touching, and I love how it really didnt end in a huge cliff hanger like last season even thought thats was one of the greatest cliff hangers ever! lol As much as i love and worship this show , i dont think it is going to last starting 4 years later...its going to be very odd and different and unfortunately I dont think it is going to be successfull! They should stay in highschool!! Lol I guess we will just have to wait and see.

I loved the season finale but hated that it was the season finale. I Cried like a baby because it felt more like a series finale instead of a season finale. I love this show. Can't wait til fall for season 5. I think they will all mature more and I hope they all come back next season. I'm kinda wondering if Brooke is leaving the show (with all that LA talk)??? Well, let's wait and see inpaitently of course.

i thought that was the best season finale i have ever seen i am and still are a fan of beverly hills 90210 and also charmed but since i have been into one tree hill its the best i've ever seen i love the happy ending i was glad to see rachel back you can love to hate her but she brings the fire into the gang its good to see everybody end up with someone i hope when it returns we will see another wedding from one of the couples the babies born a day apart was just awesome nathan gets to teach basketball to his son and lucas gets to be there for his little sister i cant wait for the next season to come out by the way does anybody know when season 4 comes out on dvd let me know i enjoy reading all the messages from everyone iam glad to be apart of the fan club the finale was just great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

omg,i loved the season finale of oth.it made me cry.there were times where i thought i couldn't stop crying.that part where karen came to see dan and told him about lilly,and how she's gonna tell her daughter that her uncle took her father away from him was kinda sad.and how about when dan tried to hang himself, but his noose broke and he fell down crying on the floor of his jail cell?i almost felt sorry for the guy, but then i remembered that he killed keith and that he deserved to be there.and those moments with the two scott brother made me cry so much. it was sooo sweet!and when i saw little james lucas scott being born i cried a lot .I can't believe i have to wait until winter to watch new episodes of oth.It's going to be excrutiating!I love One Tree Hill!

Hey, Diana, as far as I know the network has no plans to rebroadcast the finale. Sorry :( But hopefully you can borrow it from a friend or see it when the DVDs come out!

my god, who didnt cry? it was an amazing, unbelieveable episode! i hope everyone stays great friends, the last part really got me though. When brooke said "were going to be friends forever" and then lucas said "nothing will cahnge, we will come back here in 4 years, after college, or wherever we go" i cryed my eyes out! and yes, i almost felt bad for dan, then i snapped otta it! One Tree Hill is my favorite show on the planet, i dont know what i am going to do untill WINTER! i guess i'll watch the 1st and second seasons on DVD. i am SOOO going to buy the 3rd season, and the 4th when it comes out! i was so happy when i first found out that oth would be back for a 5th season! and how karen named her beby girl LILLY, and omg how beautiful is naleys kid? I am a cryer. It's what I do, and all my friends say I'm the most pathetic person ever. So if you haven't guessed it already, yes I cried like a baby last night. It was such a bitter sweet episode, but it was a good way to go out of high school. It almost feels as if it's not coming back for a fifth season, but it is so...I can't wait until it comes back and I really enjoyed the season finale...

I Cry all the time during every episode of oth,it is so emotional and deep, considering the fact that it is a teen drama!Last night's episode was great, it reminded me why I watch this amazing show!I cried so badly during the ending scenes, watching the whole gang together and dan tried to kill himself!
Great, awesome, fantastic, terrific finale!!!
I can't wait untill next season...could we do a petition to bring back oth on september??

OMG!! I loved the finale but it was sad for it to end until winter!! But my favorite scene was Kieth Karren and Lily!! I teared up! I also liked the ending scene! I am really goin to hate it when Tree HIll ends for good!!! :( But I have been with Tree Hill from Season 1!! I can't wait until season 5!!

I loved the season finale too, great ending for the season.
Just one question or rather two..When is OTH returning? its the midseason already.. And why does The CW say on there 2007 Fall Schedule One Tree Hill Coming Soon?
