Gossip Girl Scores WWD Cover -- And Some High Praise

Gossip Girl's fashion plates

Women's Wear Daily loves Gossip Girl! Taylor Momsen, Blake Lively, and Leighton Meester scored the cover last week, modeling swanky dresses by posh designers like Marc Jacobs and 3.1 Phillip Lim (we especially love Blake's ensemble).

The article says that Gossip Girl will fill the void left by The O.C: "All signs point toward the show being the guilty pleasure of the new television season."

The O.C., huh? Those are some big shoes to fill, indeed. Do you guys think Gossip Girl's up to the challenge? And what do you think of the WWD cover?

I love gossip girls, they're the best. The oc never really got my attention, but this show does. Go B and Serena.

Gossip Girls is great, not quite as good as The O.C but it's still worth seeing. My only grudge against this serie is it disguistingly bratty attitude. Even the poor people in the show resembles rich people!

Yes, Gossip Girl has the favor to get higher than the OC and dont forget, GG was out way before The OC also

all though i think gossip girl will be great, the oc will never be replaced. Seth and Taylor were some of the most unique characters ever.
