Beauty and the Geek: Date Dave!
We'll confess: We weren't the biggest fans of Dave when this season of Beauty and the Geek started up. Either we bought into the image brought on by selective editing, or Dave has grown immensely in his time on the show, because now? We think he's adorable, and we're excited to see him and Jasmine compete in the finals next week.
So we were loving DateDavid.org, a site put together by some of the fabulous LARPer's friends. That's right, folks -- if you're a woman in the greater Boston area, and if you come up with good answers on the (hilarious) application form, you could date Dave. How cool is that?
The site reveals all sorts of fascinating Dave lore: For example, did you know Dave was president of a co-ed fraternity -- and swapped clothes with his female co-president for the group photo? Plus, how can you not be impressed by someone whose friends would go through all this trouble to help set him up and/or publicly humiliate him in this fashion?
We're out of the running, both because we're not in the Boston area and because it would probably be a violation of journalistic ethics to apply. But we love the site, and we'd love to hear from any of you who apply. Check it out!
