One Tree Hill Podcast: "Our Life Is Not A Movie Or Maybe"
Another episode of One Tree Hill, another round of passionate debate! What can we say -- this show gives us plenty to talk about!
Lucas gets a surprising offer from a movie producer -- he wants to make Ravens into a film! News spreads fast, and everyone has (mostly inappropriate) suggestions for who should play their parts in the movie. Lucas makes a show of debating whether to take the deal, but of course he signs -- and of course the producer is up to no good! He knows Peyton from her time in L.A., and it looks like he has nefarious motives. Meanwhile, Nathan and Haley are dealing with his new Slamball career, Sam acts out in the worst possible way, Owen grovels to Brooke, and Jamie trusts everyone. Oh, yeah, and the Mouth plot continues to annoy. Sigh.
But that's just the start -- we have plenty more to talk about! Find out why I got bleeped (and I can't believe it took more than 100 podcasts before one of us slipped up!), what prompted Mia to swear off children, and what made Jackie reconsider Jamie's character recommendation. All that a a whole lot more!

The fake tooth REALLY annoyed me, he would be just as cute with a missing tooth, and someone do Peyton's hair please it is looking really unkempt. Otherwise great episode, loved the Lucas and Hayley scene.

This is def my favourite episode of the season. Everything was just awesome well except the Jamie/Sam plot. She never learns and now she's getting Jamie involved man that's just asking to be kicked out.The only ever time I liked Sam was prolly in the beginning scene when she was watching Nathan and Owen play slamball with everyone. But I laughed when Brooke called her an"adolescent nanny carrie"
I think Nathan should just give up playing slamball because it's just too much for him I mean you can tell he's in pain and he should be.
Lucas I thought was kinda in the wrong because I thought Lucas should have read through the contract who knows he could have signed his soul to the devil for all he knows. I was so glad that Derek was back because I thought he was great the last time we saw him. I hope he comes back.
Ellen page would make a great Haley and plus she's hot.
OMG Mia I was thinking them same thing about Sophia thinking about Chad and how he did the dirty on her. lol man he messed up big time.
Lucas and Hsley are always great together after they are besties. lol They've had so little scenes together this season compared to the others.
Gigi man I don't like what they are doing her I mean she is so so hot but it's like she's beginning to look like a man stealer. Am I the only one that wants to see Millie and Gigi with the gloves off. lol
awesome podcast yet again

And Julian looks like Lucas's twin!:)

I really did enjoy this episode. I agree that the Mouth storyline is REALLY annoying. And Sam is bugging me also!
The only thing I have to say to the girls is you need to get your history straight. If you had wwatched the previous seasons, you would know who Derek and Pycho Derek are.

Anonymous down there was me BTW
Also, I agree... the people coming into Peyton's life are not random. They all have a specific reason to be in her life.

There were two things that I hated about this episode, which is probably what yal hated too...the storyline with sam and the one with mouth. It's annoying and i'm really over these plots.
Every thing else I really loved. the julian/peyton storyline is really interesting, i'm excited to see where this goes. and i love the actor who plays julian :D i read someone's comment about how peyton has random people coming into her life...well they're not random people so whatever. i liked all the scenes with her and her brother, i thought it was cute.
nathan/haley: always love them, no matter what they do. loved all their stuff, but yessss more making out would be nice!
p.s. yal would know about peyton's brother if you watched the other seasons, hint hint lol.

I thought this episode had so many adoreable parts! I loved the Lucas/Haley scene... nice to see them interact. I also find that Lucas and Nathan usually work out well together too.
I really want Brooke to get together with Owen... i really like the character and I was her to be happy... and adopt a little one!
The Sam storyline doesn't bug me, I kinda like the idea of it, however I think they need to stop writing her so stupidly...
hmm... what else? I do like Mouth A LOT but I am not too pleased with his curent storyline... Millie's too sweet to put through this!
And hey, my 5 year old nephew doesn't have any front teeth! Let the poor kid be normal! It must be awful hard for Jackson to say his lines properly with fake teeth in his mouth!
Great podcast ladies!

The powers that be on the show can be extremely nitpicky, exhibit Jamie's front tooth. Or they can annoyingly unresponsive to the crazy timeline, exhibit Jamie's gestation period.

u guys crack me up!!! and i totally agree that this is by far the best episode this season. i was laughing and enjoying that there was actually interaction between the charactors!!! the first scene was awesome cuz they were all together, and then the scene with brooke, milli, and haley was funny too. i was seriously laughin throughout this ep.
i'm still upset about the lack of lovin with naley, no it's not a porno but they can show some affection every now and then like they're still attracted to each other. i loved how nathan let haley know about the faces while he's playing. but i think he's being kinda inconsiderate and selfish with this slamball thing. and he is like my fav charactor but come on, aren't your wife and son more important to you than playing a "version" of basketball? he could at least still try to get on some other teams and get his back stronger before he did this if it was somethin he absolutly had to do. but i don't like it cuz he's gonna get hurt.
this whole julian thing could be interesting, i think it's just an old bf of peyton's from LA and he'll go away eventually. but i don't think lucas's movie will get made.
COULD SAM BE ANY MORE STUPID AND UNGREATFUL!?!?!? she annoyed me so much this ep. seriously, throwing a party in brooke's store where she knew peyton's dress was is bad enough, let alone taking jamie!! she wasn't even watching him, he could have been seriously hurt or even taken.... again. and she wonders why ppl give up and kick her out. i would too!! she better start realizing the sacrifice brooke is making for her and straighten up. but i don't think this should even be a storey line cuz i hate it and i wanna see brooke have fun and i'm sick of the "projects" on the show now. Q was good but it shoulda been a one time thing, they didn't need to come up with another one cuz he's gone cuz at this point it's just annoying and irrevelant.
and that's it for this episode for me. great podcast, i'm not havin kids either if that's what has to happen to parents!! lol
oh i still think jake should come back and marry peyton and lucas and brooke should be together. that's the right thing to do!!

I agree. I honestly see no appeal in Owen. Can anyone actually say that Brooke and Owen could be long-term potential? Brooke seems very uninterested and she didn’t seem to care that much when he left last season either. Bye bye Owen.
Loved the episode over all. Loved that we finally got a Luke/Haley scene, Brooke/Luke , and Luke/Nathan scene. The opening was hilarious and it was really nice to see them all together. Also, the fact that Peyton’s wedding dress got ruined is such a bad omen. Finally. One of many I hope.
I love you girls! Your podcasts are always hilarious.

Owen needs to go.
99% of the people pushing for Brooke and Owen are Leyton fans trying to ensure Brooke is not a problem.
1% of the people rooting for them are Brooke fans who just want her to be happy or Brucas fans who see no hope.

I really enjoyed this episode as well!
The Scott Family scenes were adorable. There a CW interview with either Jackson or Mark Schwann saying Jackson had lost his 2 front teeth and they were worried that a 5 year old would not have lost his teeth. Whatever! He's a kid and he looks weird with the false teeth or maygbe not do the close ups on his mouth!
Loved the Milli, Haley, Brooke scenes.
Gigi needs to go-- it's an extra plot line that really isn't needed right now.
I thought it was a bit weird that Peyton has not had contact with her brother all this time. Geez..not even a letter!
Great podcast ladies! I look forward to them every week.

LMFAO Amen to not having children hehe WTF was that noise? You guys crack me up LOL I still think LP will get married only because Marks not stupid lol And I actually disagree on Lucas is more funny around Haley. Owen and Brooke just needs to get it on already jesus writers no more waiting. Mouth and his women blah. Jackson who plays Jamie has a retainer in his mouth because he broke his front teeth and I think they rather him not have his teeth missing lol Any ways great podcast guys cant wait for next week. I think its going to be the best episode of the season yet.

I never tire of saying, but great podcast, you are my escape from studies of the university for a while and appreciate it.Mia what happens with the tooth of Jamie, it's fake, that's why you see so bad. They have reason on Naley, seem more best friends that husband and wife, they should follow the advice of Luke and BOW CHICA BAN BAN

Another great podcast! I'm glad that there is always atleast one of you that likes the episodes.
I thught I would let you guys know Jackson Brundage (Jamie) is a couple years older than his character and he lost his two front teeth... they showed this in one of the interviews with Jason C. and they said he is wearing fake teeth, which I agree look really weird.
I hate this Gigi storyline too... Milli is awesome and I don't get why Mouth has a "sexy" intern that throws herself at him.
Browen is HOT! I love that Sarah is sooo excited about next week LOL...
I don't see why it's such a big deal that we don't see a Naley sex scene ... this show isn't some prono... besides their married their not going to be all over eachother 24/7
Lastly I read spoilers (it's an addiction LOL) and I don't want to give away everything that happens with Julian in the future episodes, but I just want to say that I don't think you guys need to worry about another stalker SL...
And Mia, when you guys said that maybe the wedding that is supposed to happen with LP will actually end up being Mouth and Milli and then you said or the other way around... Why did you say that would make you sad? Do you guys really not want LP to get married?

I'm with Jackie on this one yet again. Best episode of the season. So funny and cute and everything I love about OTH is one ep- can't go wrong.
You didn't really talk about Derek, and I thought that was horribly boring. Peyton always has these random people coming in for an episode or two and the whole thing is so annoying to watch.
Posted by: Kim | October 29, 2008 4:40 PM
Jamie's toth looked like a ball of wax because in real life jackson who plays jamie lost that tooth, so that tooth is fake.
Posted by: Sarah | October 29, 2008 4:37 PM
First off, to answer your question: Jackson has lost one of his front teeth, and wears a "flipper". It's like a retainer with a tooth attached because they feel Jamie is too young to be losing teeth.
I think this was one of the best episodes this season, it had a little bit of everything.
The Sam plot is annoying me. And Mouth is not my favorite, but tolerable.
The Peyton/Lucas/Brooke triangle is resolved, so the writers brought in Gigi, because what would One Tree Hill be without a love triangle? Haha
I really loved this episode, and I loved the podcast. Thanks girls!
