Cyber-Smart

Today I got a chance to interview UT Dallas Professor Dr. Bhavani Thuraisingham.

She's a fascinating lady, after studying in the UK she worked in DC. She now finds herself here in Dallas as a Professor of Computer Science and Director of the Universities Cyber Security Research Center.

When she's not teaching or conducting research she's out traveling the world giving speeches. As one of the top experts in cyber security it occurred to me just how lucky we are to have her teaching and living in our community.

We are research students of Prof. Bhavani Thuraisingham.

We are very fortunate to have a top expert in cyber security and an IEEE Fellow advising us. Dr. Thuraisingham is a caring person and makes sure that each student gets individual attention.

She is also a very good teacher and wants us to learn material not just focus on the grades. She also encourages us to go to conferences and present papers. We also agree that DFW community and UTD are fortunate to have her.
