Ford: Last Domestic Car Company Standing?

A shiny new Ford dealership opened in Garland. Odd, especially when you consider General Motors and Chrysler dealers have been told to close. An economics professor told me the big three need to close some dealerships because there are simply too many. Competing against yourself is not a good business plan. Fewer, larger dealers is the key. The CEO of Ford was there for the grand opening. He expects Ford to be profitable in 2011. The road back has been a long and bumpy one. For the sake of all of those who work in the car industry, let's hope he's right.
