All that glitters..is not lip gloss

Now lip gloss may be dangerous. Maybe. There is no clinical study to back it up, but a growing number of dermatologists believe lip gloss without SPF may actually increase the risk of lip cancer. Theory goes like this: Applying lip gloss without SPF is like tanning with baby oil. Some believe the shiny coat actually helps untraviolet rays penetrate the lips. The dermatologist we interviewed today basically says more studies need to be done, but just in case, always use lip gloss with an SPF of at least 15.
