Dallas Pinkslips

Almost 800 civilian employees working for the city of Dallas face layoffs, as part of the effort to balance next fiscal year's budget. Another several hundred vacant positions will not be filled.

These are among the latest possible steps to bridge a $100 million dollar budget shortfall. They will be presented to the City Council Wednesday.
