This year nearly 200 thousand Americans will have some form of weight loss surgery. Sometime next year, they may be able to have a new procedure that leave behind no scars. That means no incisions. Doctors snake a tube with a camera on the end down your throat, then snap staples in place. It creates a narrow passage that slows the food as the food moves down. So far only about 300 people have had the experimental surgery. 200 in America and 100 in Europe. The Europeans lost 45% of their bodyweight. The procedure may be federally approved as early as next year.
