To Walt, Or Not to Walt

It is video Rob Cartwright (the Assistant News Director) shot of Amanda and Walt going to Starbucks. Walt swore to everyone yesterday that the guys that work at Starbucks on 183 & Mockingbird named a drink after him. They call it "The Walt:" A Pike Place Coffee, one and a half packets of Sugar in the Raw and 2% milk.

Sure enough Amanda ordered "The Walt" and they hand it to her.... just like Walt likes it.

So.... I thought it would be funny to come to the afternoon meeting with a coffee that said "The Walt" on it. I stopped by Starbucks on my way to work.

I didn't really want "The Walt." Really I just ordered a regular coffee.

So you can imagine my surprise when I had this conversation with the Barista:

Me: "Hii, I know this is weird but can I have a favor?"

Barista: "Okay."

Me: "Um could you write, 'The Walt' on my drink?

Barista: "Uh, Why?"

Me: "Yeah I know weird right? See I work at this place..."

Barista: (Interrupting me) "No I know what 'The Walt' is, and we're reading a blog about it right now. What you just ordered is NOT 'The Walt'

Me: "uhhh you do? yeah "The Walt" is pretty fattening. I always get skim milk or Soy or...

Barista: "Just pull around."

Sure enough when I got to the drive-thru window, they handed me this: (see below, cup on left)
