Caring for Kamryn
Nice to do a heartwarming story for a change. Today, I met a great family, doctor and nurses. Kamryn is a six-and-a half week old girl suffering from a rare congenital disorder called Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia, better known..thankfully..as CDH. Basically, the diaphragm doesn't form properly and allows organs to fill the chest cavity which makes it hard to breath. Kamryn survived surgery and a ventilator pumped air into her lungs afterwards. She may go home on Monday. Do you want a REALLY, REALLY, happy ending? Monday just happens to be her moms birthday.
