Outdoor Tobacco Ban for Grapevine?

Grapevine city council is set to vote next week on a tobacco ban for all outdoor parks, swimming pools and athletic facilites. This plan seems to be latest in the wave of "smoking bans" sweepting not only Texas, but the country.

You know this will be fodder for critics, who believe that smoking -- especially in the outdoors -- is a freedom issue. But, supporters will say, that it doesn't send the right message to children to see adults smoking in places like parks.

It looks like this will get the go-ahead from Grapevine officials. What do you think, right or wrong? Send me your thoughts.
