Bank on this: The future of healthcare

There is always a heated debate about ebryonic stem cell reseacher, so let me be clear, this blog is about ADULT stems cells. More and more people are having their own blood drawn, churned down to stem cells and then frozen for future use in case they get sick. Researchers are performing clinical trials and hope to have major breakthroughs on stem cell therapies that may save lives. Right now there is on-going reasearch that shows promise in repairing heart disease. Scientists are working on cures for everything from diabetes to cancer. That's why people are banking their stem cells. They're healthy now, but if they get sick in the future, maybe, just maybe there will be a stem cell cure. In the future, a conversation with your doctor may go like this: "You have diabetes, let me call the stem cell bank in Florida and have a few shipped back and we'll get you taken care of." I hope the future is as bright as it looks.
