Horse Lovers -- try not to Cry

If you have ever looked into the big eyes of a horse, you know they are next to human. But, what I saw in Denton County today was enough to make anyone cry. These beautiful animals with hip bones protruding so much, it looked as though they were about to punch through hide.

The owner is under arrest -- facing possible jail time and a fine. But, how does this happen? If a livestock owner is feeling financially strapped there are rescue groups that are willing to help. Check out the Humane Society of North Texas -- please look for resources .. it is much kinder than letting this majestic animal, starve.
