Want To Be A U.S. Customs Officer?

I've been talking with the folks at U.S. Customs and Border Protection in Dallas. Wow, busy, busy people. Not only do they protect the border, track down drug smuggles and keep terrorists and weapons out of the country but they have the task of enforcing hundreds of U.S. laws.On this day I talked with them about the seizure of more than 1,400 illegal scooters imported from China. The work is non-stop and I'm amazed at how thorough the officers need to be. Imagine a warehouse filled with crates and boxes and they need to check each one. It's a big responsibility but after meeting this bunch it's clear we're in good hands. - Jim Grimes
