Prior to the safe program first responders had to rely on paper maps, lists, and documents. Now, all the information is available electronically. Only select administrators and staff have access.
I do think this is the wave of the future as far as technology. Some people fear that they're private rights will be violated, but I think that concern is just about always there whenever something new comes along.
