H1N1 Reality

We keep hearing the swine flu is mild, pretty much like the season flu. It all sounds so good, until someone dies, then it doesn't so mild. I can't imagine how the Garcia family is feeling tonight. Their eleven year old daughter, Cynthia, died this weekend. Dallas County health officials have confirmed she was infected with H1N1. She had no underlying health conditions. Cynthia went home Thursday with flu-like symptoms, she was dead by Saturday night. I've done a bunch of H1N1 stories over the past ten months, this one is both a wakeup call and heartbreaker.
