Space Shuttle Landing

I've seen a lot in my reporting years, but I've never seen the space shuttle up close. This was really neat and its hard to convey the experience in words. Up close Discovery looks very worn. Its physically dirty and it looks as though the outside had basically been burned by fire. Engineers tell me the exterior of the shuttle is more sensitive than that of airplanes. It can't even be exposed to simple rain.
