Best Laid Plans

Did you miss my mug at 9pm tonight? Me, too! Blame in on Mother Nature.

We were in Wise County covering a plane that went down in a field this afternoon.

Minutes before air, I was plugged in, mic.'ed up, and made up with my thicker-than-molasses-foundation when a lightning show stole our stage. It had just become potentially unsafe for us to do a live shot. Lightning and live truck mast don't always mix.

We did get our news piece on the air and we did get home safely. TV ain't always (if ever) glamorous!

We'll give it another try tomorrow.
