Sleep ....my one desire.
I have a confession to make.
I need 6 hours sleep! I can barely function on less than 6 hours. Last night I got 10 hours sleep! That is better than chocolate ice cream. I blame my torrid love affair with sleep on parenthood.
Before I had my first child, one person warned me that I would never sleep again. How true they were. Parents, you know what I'm talking about. I got very little sleep, disjointed sleep, interrupted sleep for the first year of my daughters life. Then my son came along and it was another year of "no"sleep.
But like anything, your body adjusts. You get use to it. You HAVE to get use to it or you will not survive. Plus I'm a better parent to my children if I'm well rested.
Luckily my daughter and son now sleep through the night, but they still wake up at the crack of dawn-- 6:30 a.m. So when we can, my husband and I go to bed EARLY. I'm talking 8 p.m. sometimes 7:30 p.m. on Sundays.

That is how exhausted we feel, and it is the only way I can catch up on my beauty sleep. Benjamin Franklin said it best "Early to bed. Early to rise."
Moms, Dads tell me what you do to get more sleep. If you don't have kids how important is sleep to you?
