The results are in..

We wondered how many germs kids would pass around if we let them dig into a bag full of candy and root around for their favorite treat. Maybe this wasn't a good idea. The results were pretty gross. We took the extra candy wrappers to an infectious disease expert who tested the candies for germs and bacteria. Oh boy, did he find germs and bacteria. More testing would be needed to learn if H1N1 was among the germs, but the results were clear. The controlled candies were germ free. The heavily handled candies were full of germs. Was this a groundbreaking study? Nope. But it was a fun little test to see how those tiny hands can spread germs. Now, let's all get out there and have a Happy Halloween!
