Made you look! I did a story today about Prevnar, a vaccine that's been on the market for ten years. It was designed to protect against common childhood illnesses. Doctors say it's worked wonders, sort of a wonder vaccine. According to a new study, there is even a side effect, believe it or not, because kids get sick less often, older adults are spared getting sick, especially during the holidays. I interviewed a doctor who said the number of adults getting sick after the holidays has dropped. It's because kids on vacation and around older family members, including grandparents.

The next generation of Prevnar is expected to be approved and available early next year. Grandkids and grandparents alike will be happy.
