Moms Call for "Responsible" Drilling
You don't want to get a mother upset and right now there are a few moms in NE Tarrant county who are pretty angry. These women are writing editorials, forming Facebook groups and overall being vocal about gas drilling in North Texas.
They are concerned and should be. Recent studies showed elevated levels of toxic emissions at some wells, enough to concern state officials. Several mothers in Southlake are asking city officials in nearby Colleyville to hold off on putting up the first well, until some of the questions about danger can be answered.
Do you think they have a point to ask the city to forgo millions of dollars, at least for now, to be sure the drilling can be done safely? Tell me what you think.
