NEWSFLASH! I think we pretty much all knew this but a new study by Manhattan Research found that the internet has surpassed doctors as the most popular health resource.

Move over doctors? Not really. People are using the internet to reseach prescription drugs and compare the costs of certain drugs and services. Hospitals are making sure the information the public is getting is accurate. Here in DFW, Baylor, Parkland, Texas Health Resources and others are putting health information on social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter and MySpace.

Hospital officials say nothing can replace a one-on-one visit with your doctor, but when you visit, you'll be armed with good information.
