Texas Stadium, no more

It was a spectacular site to see at daybreak this morning. The implosion of Texas Stadium went perfectly. Still, there were some heavy hearts and tears in the crowd of people. It is never easy to see an old friend slip away, but it is in the name of progress, right?

The Irving Mayor, Herb Gears says it wasn't a light decision to destroy the stadium, but one of practicality. There will be apartments and businesses put up on the site.

I heard many compliments about the production itself. Everything went off on time and the city tried to make it a celebration, despite the sad feelings.  

The drive to work now won't be the same for many, including me.
