The Natural Gas Divide Deepens

Concerns over natural gas drilling run deep today, even as a change in Town Council members settles.

Yesterday's election seemingly alters the structure of the council, making the new majority in favor of what they call more responsible gas drilling.

That will please the thousands who signed a petition asking for a 180-day moratorium on Centralized Collection Facilities and related pipelines. It does not please others, who are afraid of more lawsuits leading to higher taxes as well a decrease in property rights.
