An apple a day..

An apple a day does keep the doctor away and ten year old Mary Harris is living proof. Mary's BMI and cholesterol levels were high so Dr. Jane Sadler gave her a prescription that didn't involve a trip to the drug store. She was told not to eat school provided lunches and become more active. Let's put it this way--Mary got moving.

Three months after doctors orders Mary's cholesterol levels were greatly improved and her BMI went down. The goal wasn't to lose weight because Mary will grow into her weight.

Mary now walks home from school with her friends and eats lost of fruits and drinks plenty of water rather than consuming chips and soda.
