Breast Cancer: You can run but you can't hide

Scientists have been hot on the trail of a cure for breast cancer for years and it seems they're getting close. Today we learn scientists have discovered a simple blood test can detect breast cancer long before a tumor develops. Here is how it works--a specific protein is on the surface of breast cancer tumors and when the protein is detected women are three times more likely to develop breast cancer. Of course early detection is the key to survival for many women.

Researchers warn that they're not sure if the test can be a stand-alone breast cancer detector but that it probably can be used in conjunction with other tests like self examinations and mammograms.

The day is coming when breast cancer tumors will have no place to hide.
