Hooked on technology? You bet.

They don't have an app for that but they do have a name, it's called Technosis. I did a story on it about four years ago--we took a teenage girl's cell phone, hardline and laptop away for a week. She was shaking after the first night. As technology has grown so has the addiction to it. It's not like you're hooked on heroin or anything and it doesn't really hurt anyone but an addiction is an addiction.

We interviewed a counselor who says answering emails and text messages can cause a chemical rush that can be addictive. You've probably felt it--when you see that green light that indicates you have a message--come on--you've felt the rush.
