I can breathe again

Summer in Texas can be brutal--especially if you're a kid with asthma. There must be a bunch of them because about 9-million American kids suffer from asthma and that's why Baylor-Irving hosted a one-day event called 'Camp Airways." The camp is designed to inform kids about their condition and make sure they have the knowledge to safely get through summer. Camp Airways is not your ordinary camp--the kids run to learn about their physical limits and play games that allows to soak up asthma information and have fun at the same time.

We had our first Orange Ozone alert in DFW today. For those of you who don't know what that is it's a day when the air is unhealthy to breathe.

File this one under "Timing is Everything" because Camp Airways arrived at just the right time.
