Medical Tourism is growing. It's always nice to save some money but many people believe saving money on surgery in a foriegn country comes with a possible high price--if there is a complication there are very few avenues for recourse.

We met women who had weight loss surgery in Mexico and the procedure went very wrong. Now she needs revision surgery but she can't get her doctor in Tijuana to return her calls or emails.

A bariatric surgeon we talked to today offered this advice--buyer beware.
