Survey says: Hot flashes at age 42

Iranian researchers claim a simple blood test that tracks a specific hormone can predict when a woman will reach menopause. It a big deal because women will know know long before it's too late to start a family.

Researchers tested nearly 300 women and 63 of the patients who reached menopause--scientists were able to predict the date to within four months.

Early menopause can start in the mid 40's instead of the mid 50's--that's important information for women who may decide to become pregnant later in life.

We interviewed a 26- year old woman who is 18-weeks pregnant with her first child, she learned today she can expect a baby girl on Thanksgiving--maybe one day she'll know exactly when she'll enter into menopause.
