Tarrant County opens Swine Flu vaccine clinic
The Tarrant County Public Health department will offer free H1N1 vaccines to pregnant women and at-risk youth on Friday.
The vaccines will be available for pregnant women and children 6 months to 18 years. The clinic will be open from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. at W.G. Thomas Coliseum, 6108 Broadway, in Haltom City.
Marc Flake, a spokesman for Tarrant County, said residents do not need to bring any medical records on Friday. Residents will have to fill out a simple questionnaire to receive the vaccine.
Health officials said the nasal mist and the injectable vaccines will be available on Friday.
The health department does not expect to use the 3,000 doses of the H1N1 vaccine that they have available. They are planning to hope more events once more vaccines arrive.
Flake said he does not know when that might be.
"It's like waiting for Christmas but not knowing the day," he said.
