Another Rangers Player heads to the All-Star Game

Thumbnail image for nellycruzhead.jpgThe Rangers will now have three players heading to St. Louis for next week's All-Star Game but it's not Ian Kinsler.  Nelson Cruz will make his first All-Star appearance as an injury replacement for Angels outfielder Torii Hunter. 

Cruz was the next highest ranked outfielder on the American League ballot and is the 27th player making a first time appearance in this year's All-Star Game.

As Cruz enters play against Mariners tonight, he is hitting .262. with 20 home runs, 50 RBI and 13 stolen bases.Thumbnail image for allstargame.gif

Cruz joins his Rangers teammates Josh Hamilton and Michael Young on the A.L. All-Star roster.
