Roy Williams downplays hit that popped the helmet off his head

royhelmet.jpg With three straight days of two-a-day workouts, the Cowboys are getting a little testy.  One of big hits today came when Orlando Scandrick layed a lickin on Roy Williams that sent his helmet rolling across the field.

" I'm good,  that's football"  said Williams.  "I never have my helmet strapped up unless it's in the game.  It didn't bother me none - it's just football."

Scandrick is competing with Mike Jenkins for a starting cornerback spot, and when reporters tried to get Williams to talk more about the hit he said, "
I never keep my helmet buckled, because I never intend to get hit during practice.  He just hit me and my helmet came off; if it was buckled it wouldn't have come off.  It looked bad or whatever, but it was a good play by him and I have to get him back this afternoon."

You can see Scandrick's hit and much more on Day #6 of Training Camp, tonight on The 33 News at 9pm.
